Lessons

Individual, one-to-one lessons take place at The VoiceBox; other than lessons taken in schools as part of a contract for a set period of teaching, or lessons arranged privately and directly with specific VoiceBox associate  tutors.

The VoiceBox is open for teaching between late afternoon Monday and mid afternoon Saturday; and lessons are given during the day time and in the evening. Sunday lessons are not normally available, but can occasionally be arranged.

Students can request lessons of either 30 or 60 minutes in length; and where regular lessons are wanted, these will normally be on a weekly or fortnightly cycle.

We do not operate a waiting list – which can be a very dispiriting experience! – but instead try to respond quickly and use cancellations and temporary changes in timetable to bring in new students. This does, however, mean that times of lessons can initially be variable; but as soon as we can, we find you  a regular timetable slot at a time convenient to you – if you would like one.

New students begin with an initial consultation lesson at the standard fee. This is normally a full hour, in order to cover the necessary first lesson work.

Advance payment for a series of six lessons (either 30 or 60 minutes) attracts a substantial 20% discount on the standard fee.                                                                                               

Payment can be made in cash or by cheque with bank guarantee card. We regret that we cannot accept credit cards.
